THE BASEMENT EVENTS GROUND RULES

  • The events held at The Basement shall not interfere with business operations or enter into direct competition against the existing tenants.
  • Fees: $150/non-profits and $200/for profit organizations. As per the Facility Rental Agreement (FRA) a deposit equal to 50% of the total rental fee is due on execution of the FRA. The remaining 50% of fee is due 30 days prior to event. Written notice of cancellation of a booking or change of dates must be received at least 30 days prior to event date in order to receive a full-refund.
  • The Basement reserves the right, at its discretion, to cancel events due to unforeseen and/or emergency and/or safety issues. Full deposit will be provided within 30 days.
  • The organizer is responsible for providing the Building Owner details of all the events, such as topics, vendors, participants etc. within 20 days of the event.
  • No additional insurance is required for the event. The Basement has required permits and insurances in place.
  • No sign, placard, picture, advertisement, sticker, name or notice shall be installed or displayed on any part of the outside or inside of the Building without the prior written consent of the Building Owner.
  • Canvassing, soliciting and distributing handbills or any other written material and peddling in the Building is prohibited.
  • Events shall not obstruct any sidewalks, halls, lobbies, passages, exits, entrances, elevators or stairways of the Building.
  • All cleaning and janitorial services for the Building is provided by the Building owner. Event organizers are responsible for leaving the premises in clean and good condition.
  • The Basement is not responsible for any loss of property on the premises.
  • The Basement reserves the right for itself and Building Owner’s Agents to exclude or expel from the Building any person who, in the judgment of Building owner or delegated agent, is intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or who is in violation of any of the Ground Rules of the Building.
  • Only service animals may be brought in The Basement during events.
  • The Basement is by applicable law a “no smoking building”. Smoking or carrying lighted cigars, cigarettes or pipes is prohibited in the Building and the Common Areas outside the Building.
  • No parking is allowed in the West Elm designed parking spots in front of the The Basement entrance.
  • Events must take place between 07:00 am – 07:00 pm during the week days and between 09:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • No illegal drugs are allowed in The Basement
  • The event organizer is responsible for security and paying for any permits and services that may be required in connection with the event
  • Food and beverages may be consumed and served in designated areas only.
